JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a part-time designer to support our production design team in a stable work relationship. This position is for a student or freelancer with the ability to self-manage and provide the jobs on schedule for the strict deadlines that we work to.

• Expected availability: Daily from 17:00 Barcelona time for 3-4 hours.
• After initial training, the job can be done remotely.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Slicing and optimising images with Photoshop.
• Creating image maps with Dreamweaver.
• Adapt CSS and HTML where necessary.
• Build responsive newsletters via media queries with cross-browser debugging.
• Use our existing toolchain to create and quality-check localised versions of newsletters.
• Collaborate as a team member on large accounts.
• Communicate and report any risks or possible delays to project managers.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Graphic Design studies or related experience (2+ years).
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite CS6 or superior (Dreamweaver and Photoshop).
• In-depth knowledge of the fundamentals of good design (style, image, colour, typography).
• Demonstrable knowledge of CSS3 and HTML5, including media queries.

PERSONAL COMPETENCIES

• Highly organized with extreme attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written communication skills (Fluent English obligatory).

Employment type: Part-time (daily from 17:00 Barcelona time for 3-4 hours)

Location: Barcelona, Spain, after initial training remotely
